The KOMO hallmark, managed by the Stichting Keuringsbureau Hout (SKH: The Wood Inspection Agency Foundation), signifies the highest standards of quality. SKH’s role includes issuing quality certificates and supervising the high-pressure impregnation of wood with antifungal, insect-repellent, and life-prolonging treatments. Their objective is to certify quality control throughout the timber industry, from raw materials to final products, in accordance with specified guidelines. Tuindeco adheres to the latest guidelines for wood sustainability, ensuring the highest standards of impregnation processes.

Properties of the Timber
Timber is a natural product, and drying can cause one-sided distortion and hairline cracks in round wood. These issues may worsen with continued drying, but moisture absorption can counteract one-sided distortion, and hairline cracks will close again. These natural processes do not affect the construction quality or properties of the timber. Please consider the natural shrinking and expansion of wood in varying weather conditions.

Our hardwood is certified by Sucofindo International Certification Services (SICS), an Indonesian government agency overseeing the exportation of legal and sustainable hardwood.
